Ciao Bambino is the debut feature film by Edgardo Pistone, set in Rione Traiano, a working-class district in Naples, Italy. The story follows 19-year-old Attilio as he’s assigned to protect a young sex worker, revealing a tender, conflicted bond shaped by survival and longing. Visually raw and emotionally restrained, the film blends realism with poetic tension. Premiered at the 2024 Rome Film Fest, it won Best First Feature, received the Special Jury Prize at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, and earned nominations at the 2025 David di Donatello Awards.
